Salam.
The food that what we consume, the reading materials that we read, the habits that we adopted, all in consistency, are the major contributors that will shape our physical, mind and health. So, I need to always remind myself not to be sold with all the deceiving things that current world offer such as the hype of being rich, pretty and famous, chick-lit, screens that stray away from reality.
Books like 'Kite Runner', 'Room', 'White Tiger', as well as those written by Mitch Albom (Tuesday with Morrie is my favourite) and alike are good investment to see things in real perspective.
Imagine, if you watch the life of Kim Kardashian everyday, soon enough, your mind will be tricked that that is the ideal life to live, the hype, the drama, the deceiving beauty. In the meantime, if you were following news on United Nation, visits that Angeline Jolie went for humanitarian works, you will instantly feel that your life is half full, there are so much to be grateful of but at the same time, there are so much things that you can offer to help others become better, like donation, pray, charity works or etc.
I find watching too much of Kim Kardashian's genre swayed me to feel inadequate and I don't like that.
