True Care

Salam.

Why we need to take care of our health?

1. Because it is one of the most easily taken for granted privilege.

2. Because we will never know when our last breath will be, and while we are still in good health, this is our chance to do as many good deeds as possible, as a preparation for the next life. (My religion is the one with afterlife, if yours are without, isn’t be remembered as someone who help a lot is a good thing?)

3. If God permit, one day I will bear a child and I don’t want my consistent decision making of  not doing activities that is beneficial to my body, bad food selection and thinking of thoughts that is taxing to my mental health, burden him or her in their life. Let’s assume a case study like he or she is offered to pursue his or her study, but he or she is unable to proceed because of me, bedridden and all. Of course, God’s help  come in many ways but it is also part of my responsibility to control things that I can control, so my child can fly higher because  I did not get on his or her way.

Of course, there are more on this list, but these are the most relevant reasonings that work for me.
